I think the problem is that anyone can sell it...which removes it from being a professional product to being a product that is sold anywhere. As a salon owner we need to keep the industry professional in doing that we should offer products that not everyone can purchase from anywhere...(that is my opinion and not a reflection on you...I would never offer it in my salon)

Perhaps you can get arbone to change all of their marketing materials in respect to their spf line.They seem to be very anti sun exposure .They seem to have the position that the sun is evil and just about state that in all their spf descriptions.I had a woman try to get me to sell it in my salons and I told her to hit just because of their position on sun exposure.

But that is where is can also benefit the salon. For instance last Friday night I had 2 people walk in my salon. Neither of them tan with me or use any of my other services. Both came in specifically for Arbonne because they needed it right away and knew that I would have it. I had a $28 sale from one and a $180 sale from the other. It brought revenue into my salon that would not have come otherwise. The name recognition because of those independent consultants is one reason it is a good idea for a salon to carry it.

They are not anti sun exposure, they are anti burning. I personally know the head of research and development. She is a southern california beach goer from way back. She loves the sun and jokes that tan fat looks better than white fat. They are trying to educate people that burning is bad, exactly what we do. They are excellent SPF products and the Glow with It after tan lotion is really amazing. I can't keep the bronzing powder in stock. I just put a sample on my counter and it goes fast. Such beautiful color.

I know this isn't for everyone, but it may be for some. I know what it has done for our salon and I'm committed to helping others do the same.

Wow, lighten up guys, she's not trying to push it on anyone. You all talk about being pro the tanning companies yet they are the first ones to stick it to you behind your back. I have burt's Bee's products in my store, I guess I'm doing all the other companies an major injustice because I could easily sell their lip stuff or moisturizers.

Give me a break, I spoke to Kathe before about it and she wasn't trying to sell me. She sold me because of that, eventually i will be selling it.

tell us why we should'nt be using a bar of soap? Well if you like animal byproduct, mineral oil, and yes other harsh ingredients rubbed all over your body then by all means use bar soap.
Kathy, whats the name of that book where the guy worked in a rendering plant?

I see your point to some extent. Support the distys, and I do! Arbonne doesn't sell indoor tanning lotion. BUt the lotion and other products they offer aren't quality! So should I close up my smoothie bar, in my salon, since the stores now carry smoothies?

Not all bar soaps are as you say....
well what is the binding ingredent? Animal fat, road kill, uthanized animals, dead/sick farm animals with all there ailment and all, all ground up and procesed. Yummy huh, ready for that shower!
How about that colligen in your face/eye cream, comes from chicken feet. OOOH and that lanolin sooo soft, comes from lambs wool, there shaved , the wool is boiled and the foamy froff off the top is scooped up and put in that great cream . So imagin not washing your hair say for 6 months, shaving it all off and boiling it and putting the foamy top all over you face.

I could go on ...

I would be possibly interested in an information packet about products an profitablity. We are always up for anything that can increase profitablity and as well do other services such as teeth whitening and laser hair removal. That being said we do carry the line of austrailian gold skincare products but dont sell much of it. Mostly because we aren't that knowledgable about it. I am interested in seeing how much arbonne supports its products as for as making sure people know the facts but without being too overwelming with information make sense? anyways pm me and let me know what i need to do for more information and to make sure you get credit if i decide to do anything with it

Northmantan out of curiosity what products ( total body care line from head to toe ) do you sell to your clients that are made from your tanning distributers ?I don't want to know the name of your tanning products for the solarium but your actual skin care range that you say is so wonderful..
I am very intersted as a Beauty therapist I would like to know, oh and could you put up the list of ingrediants of say your facial cleanser, brand name etc...
So I knida know what I am talking about when it comes to skin care and treatments for the skin....
