I have been a part of it for over 11 years. I've seen what it has done for my own skin and thousands of others and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to help even more through this forum.

As you know I have been a part of this forum since 2006 and a salon owner since 1994. I've been through the highs and the lows of this industry and found that Arbonne can be a stabilizer through it all. I hope to help many of you find the same stability in your salon with Arbonne.

I sell arbonne in my places and it does sell now and again but really is not a money maker. It seems like everyone I show the product to is a distributor themselves just to get the personal discount.

It IS a good product and if you have a few sales associates who use it, then it could work out well. IMO

No I'm not trying to convert salon owners to network marketing. If you read my salon owners page you can see what Arbonne has done for my salon and my family. I am here to add a nice product to salons who are interested in that. And I can do that by supporting this forum at the same time. I am a sponsor.

I have had Arbonne in my salon(s) for 11 years and it has made a nice add to my bottom line. Who can't use some extra money coming in? And it is a good product which goes well with tanning. It can only enhance your skin which makes tanning even better.

Just today I have sold over $200 in Arbonne. Some nutrition and some body care products. That adds up nicely. And you don't have to do it in place of your salon, you can do it right alongside.

It sounds like you are down on network marketing as an industry. Sounds like a lot of people when they talk about the tanning industry. It is simply a form of getting a product into someones hands.

Being a sponsor of this site gives me the opportunity to talk to others about Arbonne, something I can't do if I'm not a sponsor. This is a forum for salon owners, of which I am one.

Thanks for your comments. Don't worry I'm not going to try to "sell" you. I only want people who really want this.

Hmmm...so are you bugging your clients when you ask them what lotion they are using so you can sell them a new tanning lotion? It is no different with Arbonne.

To someone who has really dry skin I just ask, what are you using for your moisturizer. When they say Jergens, or whatever, I tell them a little about mineral oil and ask them if they would like to try a sample of something else. They say yes, I give them a sample. Or I tell them, you can buy a bottle of Arbonne and you have 45 days to try it and if you don't like it, I'll take it back.

How is that bugging anyone?

Kathe has been marketing Arbonne quick well in her salon for a very long time. Believe me, I questioned her a lot before she was allowed to be a "paying" sponsor.

Now you can either ask her questions and maybe learn a new way to make money with your salon or not. That's up to you.

Having someone as an independent consultant in your area does not stop you from also becoming one. Arbonne has no territories and I have worked with people in almost all of the 50 states and Australia and Canada.

In fact having someone else, or several, in your area can only help you. Clients who find out that I have things in stock love it because they can pick it up right away instead of having to wait several days for their consultant to get it. It is quite convenient for them to get it from me. By having other consultants in your area, Arbonne builds name recognition so you don't have to educate them on it's quality.

Arbonne does have an awesome product called Glow with it. It's a tanning extender with anti-aging and I've used it for about 4 years. It is fabulous and better than anything I've ever used from a "tanning lotion" company.

Believe me, I want to have the absolute best products available in my salon for my customers. I searched high and low for a good skin care company and did my due diligence almost 12 years ago. The only one I found at the time that used quality ingredients without junk and that actually worked was Arbonne.

I'm not sure I'm getting that I'm not supporting the tanning industry by offering to help others with Arbonne? Because it's not a "tanning lotion company"?? I'm sorry that doesn't make sense to me.

I also sell a great line of candles and they don't come from a tanning lotion company. I sold 12 of them just today. My clients love, love, love them and it helps just a little bit more for me to keep my doors open.

I'm just not sure why this is such a problem for you???? You do not have to do anything with Arbonne - ever. I'm not in the convincing business and I only want to do business with someone who sees the big picture of this.

Mia Bella! They last about 100 hours and burn nicely. I have a client with an all white home and she says these are the best she's ever used - no soot at all. And the scents are amazing. I only have to burn one and in my 2000 sq foot salon you can smell it all the way through.

Kathe never pushes for you to sell Arbonne. I asked her a few months ago about some products and she kindly sent me info and let me know if I was interested in more info or in being a rep to let her know. She never harassed me about it after that. Very nice! Now on the other hand, the damn Avon people wont leave me alone! lol

To the others who think Kathe is trying to convert she is nothing like that at all and if you think she is then you don't know her real well..

If you want to know anything about it just ask her she will honestly answer your questions.. SHe will not push the product onto you. You all have a choice as to what you want for your salon and if you don't want to know about the product then don't look at it.. If you do want to know just ask Kathe and she will hook you up..

When Kathe came here to Australia for a visit we met up and she gave me a sample and didn't ask me to join or to sell the product I asked her.. Now I am sooo sooo glad I did , it was a wise choice..

Now I am pretty sure I have seen posts about salons selling other things besides tanning products and I have never seen anyone react to that.. You know the salons that sell body jewellry how is that tanning products.. Wouldn't you like it if you could sell that foot lotion or eye cream and make a couple of $$$ on top of a tanning package

We all want to add something new to our salons to make a few extra $$$ so what if it is skin care..

Thre is absolutely nothing wrong with network marketing and contrary to what "some" think, it's not all about recruiting and getting this person into your "pyramid".

Legitimate network companies make up 98% of the NM companies out there and have incredible goods/services at an affordable price. That is the reason why Arbonne has been around so long as is the company I joined almosy 8 years ago.

I researched Arbonne before I allowed Kathe to pay me. Let me repeat that, I RESEARCHED Arbonne before I allowing Kathe to pay me money. From what I saw, they have quality products are comsumable and priced right. 3 things that I thought would go well with indoor tanning salons and the reason why Kathe approached me in the first place. Sponsors don't come on here blowing a grand if they didn't think their products/services/goods would be valuable to our members.

Be a little open minded, that's all and respect one another.

Arbonne itself might not have done anything for you but I have by helping to sponsor this site. My sponsorship helps keep this site running which is a valuable tool for many of us. So yes, through me, Arbonne does help this industry.

It also helps by keeping people in business. After 9/11 I would have lost my businesses if not for Arbonne. The year after we were really struggling and Arbonne paid a lot of our bills. It helped us recover from a really bad event that we didn't anticipate. It is a viable way to add extra income to any salon, if done right.

Another way it has helped my salons is keep people tanning. When people start seeing the effects of aging on their skin, they stop tanning, even when they love it. I can sell them a product where they can see real differences in their skin and when they see that, they keep tanning.

I hope you see my point. I'm trying to help anyone who wants it. This is a fabulous product that actually works. It has almost 30 years of solid business behind it. Have you gone to the website to see the before and after photos. These are real people with real issues that have been helped by these products.

People tell me all of the time that my salon is much more than a tanning salon. Why? Because they know I care about them. It's not about selling products to me. That just pays the bills. I care more that someone with severe excema hugged me because I gave her the first relief she has ever had after just 3 days. That is worth more than any amount of money.

I look at this, Tan Today, as an opportunity to reach more people just like that woman. When I am standing before my God someday it's not going to be about how much money I made, it's going to be about how many people did I help. Through Arbonne, I can help so many more than I can just on my own.

Again, I don't understand this. I have not tried to "sell" you on Arbonne. That isn't my way. I'm not a sales person that way. I only want to work with people that love helping other people. It's the only way this company works.

If you don't want to be a part of it that is your decision and no one will say one word to you. But this may be someones life or business saver and who are you to stand in their way?

And there are a lot of tanning distributors out there that people buy from that do NOTHING to help this industry. They are not a part of the ITA and they do nothing except put gunk in a bottle and try to get salons to sell it for them.

I see you are totally missing my point..i give up. It was equally nice to see how much arbonne is on ebay as well. What a deal.
I will continue to sell products to my clients from distributors whom serve our industry so i don't put them out of business. They sell most all that arbonne sells, but they support our industry. Kathe, you should have no problem with clients whom bring in products from walmart, target,beauty supply companies, ebay, websites...as you are doing the same thing. worse thing is, you are promoting this to others in our industry. Am i not entitled to my beliefs, and keeping our monies within the industry? You are selling products directly competing with what our tanning manufacturers develope and make available for us to sell. Sorry, i'm just staying committed to those companies whom are here for us in our industry.

PS, i will stop posting to this site as its just advertising for you each time you respond and i'd like to keep the salon owners monies within our industry. Buy products for our clients from tanning distributors that develope products solely for our clients...not from network marketers. I also know you are a wonderful lady...this is'nt against you personally...just against network marketing and bringing in products that compete and take away business from our tanning distributors.

How about the salons who sell swimwear? Those companies could care less about the tanning industry, they just want a venue to sell their stuff.

How about salons who sell jewelry? Same as above.

What about salons who sell sunglasses? Same as above.

What about salons who sell teeth whitening (and sponsor this site)? Same as above

What about the sponsors on the site who are insurance companies and oh by the way, sell tanning insurance too?

What about the other network marketing company who sponsors this site?

What about Dean who sponsors this site who does marketing? We all love him and his stuff. Does he only market to tanning salons and support the tanning industry?

This is totally not making sense to me.

As for ebay. Arbonne has a team of people who are on ebay daily. When they find a consultant who is selling that consultant has 24 hours to remove it or they are banned from selling Arbonne forever. That is their policy and they stick with it. And same with tanning products, the stuff online is usually old.

Again, I don't know what your issue is with Arbonne specifically.

This is a product which enhances our business in so many ways. I'm sorry you can't see that.
