Allan,

I think Kathe is too nice to be a TT mod. I like her and I think she'll make a great one, but this site has unique members. They don't respect the mods and the job they do for FREE here so IMO Brian type mods are perfect for this site!!!!

Then again with all the "clean up your act" talk around here, maybe she would balance things out a bit....

I'm a member on sites with members with over 10,000 posts and they get banned because they get outta hand in one single thread...

I think we all understand the concern of having a 3rd party (sponsor) who attempts to use this board for financial gain to be given a position of authority.. It cannot be ignored..

But since you don't have a clear-cut policy on it, you must consider if it's really fair to hold that against sunsally and Kathe.. and I only bring up those two people because they're the names that have entered this specific part of the discussion..

Ultimately it's for LF to decide, but since you're seeking opinions with this thread I would throw my support behind sunsally for a variety of reasons..

Not saying that other people don't care as much as Ann does about this forum, but she genuinely helps TanToday by providing useful content and she also conducts herself in a supremely professional mannor.. Bottom line I think she has the right balance of traits to be a moderator on here.. and, I think she cares.. so she'll do a good job.

The respect the Mods comment hit home. I agree with you and we are done messing around with members who just want to pick fights. Mods are here to help the site grow, not get questioned about everything that goes on or every action they make. Future instances of attacking a site Mod will get you timed out a few days then eventually banned forever. That nonsense is over with.

Sunsally has been my pick as a Mod for a very long time, years even. Even when she lost her mind and spend most of her day on Tanformation. Even then, I still plotted behind the scenes to snag her away at any cost. And this is someone that I dont always see eye to eye on. You gotta have someone to keep you in check. LOL!

The community would be better off, I feel, if she was a Mod but alas, I dont own the site anymore. There are other people that will decide, with me, as to who is a new Mod and who is not. Heck, she may even turn us down if we ask her really nicely.

Overall my opinion is that some industry persons would not be able to straddle that line between whats best for their wallets and whats best for the site. Having said that, there are exceptions to that belief system and those exceptions could Mod without question at all. Look at Din. He's a sponsor and a Mod. He does both incredibly well I might add. I just believe you gotta look a little deeper before you make a vendor or site sponsor a Mod. Thats all. If thats flip flopping then call me John Kerry. I can admit that my initial thought on the subject was maybe a littletoo rigid.

So, post away on people you wish to recognize, truly recognize for their help with this community.

Just so you all know, if you don't already (lol) that I put my integrity first. As a Christian I have to do that because my eternal future is at stake. I cannot, just for money or success, do anything against biblical, moral or ethical standards. To me that would jeopardize the thing that I hold most dear.

I would weigh every decision against that. Being a sponsor is something quite separate to me. Arbonne is my product, which I believe in, but it has no bearing on the general site itself. I don't see me doing anything different than I do now. Everyone knows who I am and how I do things.

And George, what you said is so sweet and I love you for it. Remember though I have six kids. And I know how to be a "mean mom" when it's necessary. Truth in love is what I practice, if that makes any sense. I believe that you can get your point across wtihout being nasty. My kids all know that - ha!

Anyway, if the powers that be so choose then I would do my absolute best. If not, I'll just go on being who I am here.

I really don`t know why this was even started. Mods will be decided on by Looking Fit so what does it matter. NO vendor needs to be a mod. IMHO, Nothing personal just my thoughts. We have a lot of people who could bring value to this site but that does not mean they need to be a mod. I myself would love to see some of the old mods back but don`t know if that will happen.

If some of the "old" Mods were posting alot and fostering discussion, we will possibly add them. But they wont be added JUST because they were old Mods. TanToday, under any owner, has always been a "what have you dont or me lately" thing in regards to site Moderators.

At the end of the day, YES, myself and Judie will select a few Mods to add to the mix but we would honestly like to see the cream rise to the top and the members push some names forward whom they truly enjoy and whom THEY feel contribute more than others.

That is why this thread as created. That is why I started it.

OK, other than Kathe and SunSally, give us some other names of members who stand out from the crowd and help by giving great advice you can use in your salons.

And so non-Christians are unethical and immoral? What a load... I doubt 95% of the users really care but please, no vendors as mods!

Oh my! I certainly did not mean that anyone who is not a Christian is unethical and immoral. I was talking about myself specifically and why I would be fair. It was absolutely no slam against anyone else and I'm so sorry you took it that way.

And there are already a few mods who are vendors.

Being a Moderator has nothing to do with religion. At TanToday we are an equal opportunity community. I cant say employer because Mods don't get paid money. An occasional free package with tanning lotions and goodies but not cash.

So who else is worthy of getting bumped up to a Site Moderator?

Jeff has recently been very helpful to me, so much in fact that I am going to go back and find more posts of his to see what information he has to offer that I have missed.

Kathe is a hands down nominee, as well as SunSally for me.

To the other mods that are all ready here...nice job!
